Photographer’s Note

This is my first upload of Myanmar, so it goes to all the members who have posted photos of this country till this moment and especially to Leo, whose passion for Myanmar and its people has deeply convinced me I had to go there - thanks a lot for all the advices and information you have given me. It was great and I really hope to return there, especially to see the sunrise in Mrauk U, something I haven't done this time.
I'm starting by showing a very famous place, the magnificent Shwedagon, in Yangon. Here I'm showing it by the end of the day, when it was getting full of people who come here to pray.

Wow the colors of the sunset are just beautiful reflecting on the Shwedagon Chedi perfectly. Congrats Ana. you captured the mood e.g. the deep religiousness of the Burmese, but also in a sense the somber mood because of their generals dictatorship. Your picture projects, that better days will come, however nobody knows, when that will be. Your very nice light management produced vibrant colors and high sharpness.

Welcome back and I`m glad to read you had a good time and enjoyed your stay.
This famous landmark is a good start to report from your travel.
I`m surprised by your wideangle lens,to see the whole pagoda and some locals in the foreground.
Your photo shows a nice late afternoon mood.

Tout est remarquable dans cette photo à commencer par la composition et les couleurs. J'aime la lumière sur l'or du temple. Le bleu du ciel et du premier plan fait bien ressortir la couleur dorée de l'édifice.

Nice picture before the evening blue hour
I suggest you my workshop with a simple distortion correction because it's a little bit difficult to take a picture with a wide lens.

Myanmar must be a splendid place, I would like to go one day. In this image the light is perfect to show us this magnificent building in the best possible way.

Pelos vistos a ida à Birmânia sempre se concretizou. E nada melhor do que o Pagode de Shwedagon para começar. É um sítio magnífico. Já lá fui quatro vezes, de dia e de noite, ao nascer e ao pôr-do-sol. E vi sempre coisas diferentes. É preciso ir lá para compreender o que se sente emocionalmente.
Está linda esta foto. Venham mais.

Hi Ana,
I'm very envious of you, to have just been to Myanmar. One of my favorite countries. Shwedagon is one of the very beautiful temple, what I love most about the place is that there are not as many tourist, at least not like in Thailand. There are more local doing their daily ritual and ceremonies. this is a beautiful shot at the end of day with lovely light and colors. Excellent details and what a wonderful moment with all the locals in front of this famous monument, this bring be back much wonderful memories. My complements.

We must have missed each other while you was in Bangkok... The weather in Yangon is not too good in Sept. but the place is so extraordinary, there are zillions of pictures to be done there...

Beleza de imagem, gostei imensamente do POV, com a ligeira convergência para o alto que, na minha opinião, só dá mais charme.
Fiz um experimento no WS, removendo o azulado - queria diminuir o azulado principalmente na área onde as pessoas estão sentadas, mas o céu acabou sofrendo as consequências da minha ação :-( Deixei assim mesmo, ficou com um "look" alternativo :-) Espero que não se incomode.
Bom teres voltado a postar com mais assiduidade! Estavas a nos fazer falta!

Hello Ana,
Very attractive image indeed but need some post processing in my opinion. Didi was right when adjusting the vertical perspective and Maria reduced the blue cast, so I thought why not all adjustments in the same WS. That's what I did in a new WS, I hope you don't mind.

Com que então sempre foste à Birmânia?! Que inveja! Que tal o tempo? Uma das desculpas que dou a mim próprio para não me esforçar mais para visitar essa zona do planeta é que na maior parte dos sítios o tempo é péssimo para viajar no nosso Verão... 8-(

Captaste muito bem o ambiente de fim de tarde. O azul "da atmosfera" faz um belo contraste com o dourado dos pagodes, cujo brilho é espectacular.
