Photographer’s Note
This was taken at GM Place, Vancouver.
Its a National Hockey League (NHL) game between the visiting Dallas Stars in white, and the home team Vancouver Canucks in blue.
This paticular moment was during the Shoot-out. Shoot -outs occur because the game was tied at regulation time.
You can clearly see the puck in the net!
He scored!
I had to brighten the photo considerably, as it is surprisingly dark in the stadium, and i was sitting far away...i had to use a telephoto lens.
Thanks for looking
Craig

Nice shot of the Canucks in action Craig, I wish I was there shooting them!
As you mentioned, you had to brighten up the shot considerably. I'm not surprised considering the zoom factor and shooting indoors. The image is quite bright, but still has an overly yellow cast to it (something I've corrected in my workshop). The other thing you may want to consider is lowering the res to 72 DPI which will allow you to post larger images (800 wide vs 700) without facing file size issues.
Best of luck!

Hello Craig,
This is indeed a very Canadian motif! Nicely executed, with the goalie looking over his shoulder and the puck still in the air. You had a good POV, too. Cheers, Dasha

Hi Craig
Well caught here. The players are quite sharp considering the movement. There is a nice angular line from the forward to the goalie and finally to the puck.

Hi Craig
I hope you are a Canaucks fan! If not I will take back my 2 points. LOL. I like how you complemented your photo with a blue frame to match their uniform. Perfectly captured despite the moving subjects. Superb!

Hi again.
This is a very good shot because of the speed. The players, and especially the puck has a high speed, so this is very well done. You captured the right moment, so it's a perfect timing.
Regards, Fredrik.

Good timing. The eyes of the both player lead into the puck in the goal. Only thing wrong with this photo is: the goal is scored against my beloved Blackhawks:)
