Photographer’s Note
After visiting this lake a number of times over the last few years it was the result of careful calculated timing to arrive here just before the sun came up over the mountain side. That was when the light lines in the water became the most dramatic and when the lake water was still.
I have been to many places in pursuit for photographic locations of stunning beauty for many years, but this location here at Lake Louise is iconic highlight for me. I love this photo because of the lighting and for the setting itself. Upon close inspection I noticed that the rental canoes at this lake were in better shape ( with full red color ) compared to the scratched bottomed canoes up at Lake Moraine. At any rate the little touch of red highlight made a nice touch on this morning reflection capture. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks.

Hi Paul
I know this place, & have a shot of it uploaded to TE. I was there last October, & it was snowing. Nice to see a summer view with the red canoes. Tfs!

Hi Paul
Great light indeed. You managed the light such that everything has fine detail. The water is still enough to provide a great reflection as well.

Hi Paul,
who can resist this magical atmosphere? Once again this amazingly beautiful light and the strong and also strange colors. A very moody impression with fantastic reflections. This result was worth all your calculations! My compliments!
Warm regards
Harriet

Salut.
Je découvre ta galerie et je suis emballé.
Ce cliché est trés net, coloré a souhait , naturel,un reflet discret mais joli et ce soleil ans le coin...
Bravo.

Paul,
This is a great shot with a fine reflection. The reflection adds depth and balance to the shot. The angle of the shot works well giving the photo a sense of direction. The red canoes stand out nicely in the shadowed lighting.
