Photographer’s Note
It is chestnut time once again. Our town has many protected chestnut trees that flower every spring, provide shade every summer, and drop large chestnuts ever autumn. By protected, I mean that the government has made it illegal to do basically anything to the trees. I love the trees and am generally grateful for the law, but about this time I wonder, as the tree that is right outside my window and drops chestnut bombs on my car - at 5 AM. Meanwhile children eagerly collect these beautiful nuts in bags an buckets and sometimes even make little animals out of them. They are horse chestnuts and therefore inedible, but they are beautiful and even adults pick them up and carry them in their pockets. Hope you enjoy these.

Hello Kate,
I like the nice sheen on the skins of these chestnuts.
Good colour and fucus.
Always nice to look on when first peeled.
Nice idea to photo, memories of Autumn.
They look good enought to roast, unfortunatley not for.
You will just have to cover your car, so you sleep!!
Good that they are protected, for reasons you said.
Thanks your time on your notes.
Regards
Robert

Hi Kate,
I remember collecting chestnuts in my childhood very well and I still cannot resist today. This is a very beautiful - excellently composed – impression of the chestnuts; the colors and the light are amazing. I also enjoyed reading your nice note. TFS!
Warm regards

Hello Kate.
It 'a nice picture that reminds us of the autumn. The shapes of the fruits are well reproduced, the colors are realistic. It seems we can touch them.
Kind regards.
Bobo.

Hi Kate,
I smile when I´m read your note ! Like many other of us, we also collected them in our childhood and had some kind of war with them. Now as adults most of us are more peaceful and I love to see the big chestnut tree just outside my house. Especially during the spring, when it is in full bloom.
Very good colors and light in your shot !
Best regards.
Boa
