Photographer’s Note
These guys caught my eye, as I was walking in China Town in Vancouver BC. I like the colour of the brick and the symmetry of the building. I think it's a quick glimpse into the life of a window washer.

Hello Tosca
Welcome to TE!
Interesting photo you're showing. Makes me wonder what floor they're on, how high up are they?
Good job of cropping to make the photo pleasing to the eye.
I like the contrasting red and greens shown.
I look forward to seeing more of your work

Welcome to TE Tosca, I'm quite a fan of window shots so this caught my eye. Interesting arrangement of the cleaners, but I also think overall graphic impression of this is part of the piont of the shot, which I think may have been enhanced by a symetrical arrangement of the windows in the image. Just a thought, are the top and left ones cropped in the orginal?

Hi Tosca
Good photograph eye to detect the men at work, but your shot is too dull for me, colours are faded. I propose you a WS to explain how I will have done.
Kind regards

Hi Tosca
Welcome to TE !
A good quality picture here, well exposed, but I think you could focus more on the balance potential between the 2 men using a closer crop.
Have a nice day JY

Hi Tosca.
Welcome to TE! Hope you will have fun posting. This is a nice daily life shot from the wall. This is interesting details which can just be found by someone with a good eye for motives. Still, I think you could try to avoid the white wall in the right bottom corner, and maybe try to focus on the four windows in the middle. There are also some lack of colour, which can easily be fixed with some post-processing on the computer. Except from the white wall, I can see that there are no lines on the building going diagonal. The four windows do also make a simple composition with few colours.
Regards, Fredrik.

Hi Tosca,
First of all: Welcome to TE, hope you like it.
I like your idea here, with the window washers. Very well seen. I agree with PixelTerror, a closer crop would be perfect for this photo. Good luck.
Best regards from sweden.

hello tosca
an original photograph of these window cleaners a broad framing, I will have tightened not to have the two washers in oppositions, but it is only one question of taste, beautiful work I put a WS on the realignment

Hi Tosca,
First of all, be welcome on TE!!
I want to value this first photo that you have presented here, by its symbolism and because of your good photographic eye.
The window washers add a touch of life and dynamism to this composition with a framing that centres our attention on the graphism of this brick front and on the geometry of its windows.
The result is very good.
Friendly regards,
Josep

Excellent catch. The two men are well placed in this image so that our eye bounces back and forth between them. If you have Photoshop CS or Elements you could straighten the lines a bit and crop a little closer. Just mu humble opinion.

Nice tight frame on the building with an interesting diagonal line between the two workers.
Well done.

Hi Tosca,
I really like compositions that feature 'men at work.' Here you have framed them in a very graphic composition than enhances the 'spiderman' aspect of your work. The lines add to the excitement.
Welcome to TE. We have family on both Vancouver Island and Nova Scotia so I guessed you were from BC from your online name. Your other name sounds like you may be a Canadian Indian. Glad you liked my sea lion; I'm fond of animals too. We have deer that walk right us to us expecting us to feed them. Our son cautions us against contributing to the deliquency of the deer (He is a Probation Officer)
Wishing you health, Love & Joy (HLJ), Pat

Hello Tosca,
Hah! here I see you have shot this straight on and made a fine graphical image. The colours, sharpness and exposure just right.I especially like the shadow of the bottom window cleaner as this adds an intersting note of contrast to the brightness.
I like crop of TE member Clodo's workshop but like you I feel the colour saturation of her workshop perhaps a little ott. But that is all about preference rather than absolute right and wrong.
regards,
Bev

Hi Tosca!
Welcome to TE, seems it's the first time I'm visiting your gallery (I haven't been so active lately, hope that will change).
I really like this scene, the brown wall, the several windows and the two men cleaning them is a great idea for a photo.Cropping the right corner seems a good idea here, but I like the photo.

Hi Tosca,
You are very good at showing us many aspects of normal daily life from your country. An excellent symmetry and splendid composition. The clarity and sharpness are very good too.
Thanks for sharing,

Well i like them too Tosca
Always noce to see pictures a little different from the normal land and city scape postcards:)
A few weeks back I was admiring a handful of chinese workers renovating the facade of the apartment complex opposite to where I live, they did it all from chairs like these..I was pretty impressed.

Hello Tosca,
Here is a trade which I will not be able to make taking into account my giddiness… Whole of windows and really interesting for the photographer and these two men in the image is an asset. Good exposure to the light emphasizing the situation well. Pretty glance and to be in the idea of our friend Jean-Yves, I propose a WS to you, I hope that you will like.
With all my friendships, so long and welcome on TE,
Jean-Charles

Welcome to TE!
I would also like to have seen how high up they were. A portrait shot with just two lines of windows might have worked better?
What are they doing? Painting the window frames? It does not look very ergonomic...

Hi Tosca!
I see you like taking photos of buildings! I like the graphic effect of this one, wuith the green windows that come out well on the red brick! The little spidermen add a touch of colour! I wonder if it's a very difficult job! You certainly can't suffer from heights. Seeing your picture, I would love to talk to such a window-cleaner about his job!
TFS and best regards.

Tosca,
Welcome to TrekEarth! This is a very interesting photo. I like the differences in how the windows are treated by their owners (from the inside).
I'll bet these two men have some stories to share.
