Photographer’s Note

Built in 1816 on the site of the old fortress belonging to the Counts of Dreux, Saint-Louis Chapel of Dreux houses the sepultures of the Bourbon-Orléans family. The first building was in neo-classical style and built by the Duchess of Orléans, later to be extended by her son King Louis-Philippe, in neo-Gothic style.

Interesting architecture for a church, or rather a chapel as you say in the note!
This is a fine point of view to show the details in the structure, and I notice the rich ornaments and towers...

Effectivement, cette construction est assez étonnante pour dire qu'il s'agit d'un caveau !
Ces gens avaient tout de même la folie des grandeurs et ne se refusaient rien même si c'était pour le tombeau !!!
Que de travail au niveau de la taille de la pierre !
Joli cadrage pour nous présenter cet édifice.

Que de jolis détails et finesse dans l'architecture de cette chapelle que tu mets si bien en valeur ici. Il faut dire que nous avons été bien gâtés par le temps pour les journées du patrimoine... Bonjour Philippe,

Les arbres cadrent bien la chapelle. Pa prise de vue de coin permet de distinguer les détails et les couleurs de l'architecture de la chapelle de Dreux. Les couleurs sont rehaussées par la qualité de la lumière. Cette chaise solitaire invite le photographe à profiter de la vue, bon weekend.

Très beau cadrage de cet autre bel édifice historique. Une lumière idéale pour valoriser la belle couleur de la pierre qui ressort ainsi très bien sous le cile bleu. Belle utilisation des rabres sur la gauche et du sympathique siège bien situé pour admirer à son aise l'architecture.

Un couronne posée sur la tête... d'un roi. Joli point de vue qui laisse voir le dôme et son sommet, et qui met en relief les multiples détails architecturaux. La composition avec l'abre est superbe. Le siège est une énigme, celui de l'esthète invisible. Félicitations.

What a delightful architecture of the chapel, with a domed roof, crosses on the top of the dome and on top of the main gates. I've never seen such architecture before...and you've framed it well with the trees. The small chair is a good addition for scale. Fine work indeed

Je trouve cette architecture étonnement riche et ta photo est bien exposée et cadrée avec notamment la présence du banc et de l'arbre, cependant les perspectives ne sont pas redressées comme il faut, çà tire à gauche et à droite, et le monument s'en trouve déformé, c'est dommage.

Cette architecture est très étonnante. Tu l'as bien mise en valeur avec la lumière et le POV. Ce dôme couronné a fière allure et le néogothique ne dépare pas cette chapelle.

Bonjour Philippe,
cacasse cette chaise, est-elle destinée aux photographes ? Une photo toute en finessse dans la mise au point, elle révèle la texture des pierres de manière incroyable. Un excellent mix aussi entre les couleurs chaudes des dites pierres et le bleu tendre du cile, cela se marie vraiment bien.
La porte de bois resssort aussi de manière forte et la cadrage qui inclut cet arbre magnifique est 'top'.
Un édifice vraiment valorisé par cette photo qui mérite son succès.

La perspective est par contre un peu tronquée et gâche un peu l'image mais ce n'est pas très important.

Composed with your usual perfection, Philippe, this is a fine presentation of an interesting building.It is an interesting building, at very much part of its time, with strongly Gothic decoration, but in structure, with its central coppola and dome, so classic in form, It is a really a 'fusion' of architecture, such as the 19 th century alone could produce. regards kevin

Il y une disaine d'image de Dreux a notre disposition (avec le concour de Didi aussi). Votre contribution cher ami Philippe est bien importante et inspirative.
