Tuesday afternoon, I during my bike trip to Bruges saw I to Ryckevelde 5 mile of Bruges a wonderful light between the trees and together the first autumn colours on this splendid area.

History:.
From 1913 began the Baron Gilles Pelichy Raphael (1875-1967) with the construction of the neo-Gothic castle. The tower and the west side of the building as a summer residence provided he just ready for it, after the outbreak of the First World War, fled to the Netherlands. The castle was completed in its present form in 1929. During the Second World War hit a bomb in the 'Blauwhuis "of Izegem, the chief residence of the family, so that the castle residents in the rest of the war Sijsele spent. There was the noble families lost two sons process. Andre already died May 25, 1940 in the Battle of Wevelgem as sergeant in the 4th Line Regiment. Joseph (Jose) was a volunteer in the Belgian Secret Army. He was put in prison by the Gestapo and died (on October 26, 1944) in the concentration camp of Mauthausen-Gusen. In 1946 The family Gilles Pelichy the final Izegem as residence and the castle stood empty Ryckevelde

Looks like autumn is on its way, maybe even more that what I´ve seen here in Gothenburg. Beautiful picture and very sharp details of the castle here, The paved walkway lead nice up to the castle and the two walking person become a clear dynamic element!

Dit is echt een heel mooie compositie met het kasteel in de kleine opening tussen de overhangende takken en de kasseiweg die er naartoe leidt.
Prachtige herfstkleuren waarin het zachtrode van de kasteelgevel en het blauwachtige van het dak mooi passen.

Dag, John. De herfst schijnt zeer vroeg te zijn in uw streek. Het is waar dat de zomer zeer droog was en dat de bomen daaronder hebben te lijden. DE kleuren zijn al zeer mooi en de bomen omringen het kasteel op een elegante manier. De mooie steenweg leidt het oog naar de achtergrond en de twee mensen geven de schaal.

Hi John.

The presence of the persons has an effect of scale. The point of view leads our eyes toward the castle which is giving depth the photo. The trees are framing well the castle. The light is well managed, it has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

This is a beautifully composed shot with the stone walkway leading the eye into the scene. The colorful trees frame the scene nicely helping to focus our attention on the castle. Too bad the sky is washed out, a blue sky would have been great here.
Still a very fine photo!

Hello John,

L'oeil est guidé jusqu'au château mais le fort contre-jour joue un rôle négatif dans cet image car il sature le ciel ! Il est possible qu'un HDR régle le problème ici.

zeker wel een fraaie plaat John
de herfst sfeer is hier zeer fraai, mooi perspectief, goede kleuren, het licht vind ik zelf niet optimaal, maar dat heb je niet altijd voor het zeggen, zeker als je hier ook een stukje voor moet rijden. Dit is wel een uitdaging John, om het ook eens op een ander tijdstip te proberen, misschien een hint. prachtig samengesteld in ieder geval.

Hallo John,

De tijd van de herfstfoto’s is weer aangebroken. Het rijke kleurenpallet moet weer van de boombladeren komen en de lucht steekt daar vaak wat flets tegen af, maar zorgt wel voor een mooi glinsterend licht op de kinderhoofdjes.

Het lijkt erop dat de herfstkleuren hier al veel verder zijn dan wat ik in NL gezien heb.
Je hebt het kasteel hier heel mooi ingepakt in herfstkleuren. Dankzij het oude pad worden we er toch direct naar toe geleid.
Waar wordt het kasteel tegenwoordig voor gebruikt?
Mooie kleuren en compositie.

Dag John. Bedankt om de betaversie door te sturen. Ik werk er toch nog altijd liever op. De lichtinval achter het kasteel was naar mijn gedacht niet zo ideaal. Maar het blijft wel een heel mooie compositie en de herfstkleuren komen inderdaad al uit.

Bonjour John,
des couleurs déjà bien automnales dans ces arbres à l'avant plan et c'est très séduisant pour le regard. Ces pavés ont l'air un peu humides et rejettent de belles lumières ou reflets. Une trouée dans les arbres qui dégage bien la chateau.
Dommage pour ce cile un peu blanc.

Bonjour John,

Des couleurs automnales bien présentes en Belgique à contrario d'ici sur Versailles où pour l'instant c'est bien timide... on verra ce WE !!! Cette route pavée offre une agréable perspective menant jusqu'au château. Endroit bien agréable pour la promenade dominicale... Le couple main dans la main apporte un petit aspect romantique bien sympathique, merci John.

Well, it looks like autumn is well on it's way in corner of Europe. This is a beautiful image with all of the layers of texture and color for the eyes to explore. I wish the people were just a little closer to your camera position as they do add so human interest to the scene. Well done, Bravo!
