Photographer’s Note

It has been such a long time since I last posted a photo on TE, I don't even remember how that works...let's give it a try again.

early morning, in the streets of Barcelona, people are not waking up, they're going to sleep...The Barri Gothic zone was my favorite. Of course it's quite touristic there, but for a reason. The mood is an absolute delight, people are cool, architecture is beautiful, sea is close by, shops, history, fun...

I woke up quite early that morning. It was around 5 in the morning when I went for a walk. the streets were almost empty. A cat here, a beer deliverer there, a couple holding hands, birds in the street before the vespa take over. The light started splashing on the buildings up there and those curve lines coming toward me, the flowers on the balconies, 2 lonely persons walking...I just snapped the moment.

very nice photo that fits well in B&W filter. Everything seems to be so peaceful in your composition... A really nostalgic scene.
I'm hoping to visit Barcelona in the following months and here you gave me a good picture of her! Congratulations!

Il est ou ton livreur de biere dans l'image?... LOLLL!

C'est super beau Marco, notamment avec cette douce courbe qui nous attire entre les facades de ce quartier fort agreable. J'aime la lumiere qui bondit d'un edifice a l'autre et la serenite qui emane de ta photo.

La composition relativement serree, qui exclut volontairement le ciel, rend la scene plus intimiste et quelque part, plus europeenne.

Faudra poursuivre maintenant que tu es revenu... :-P)

la composition est tres bonne, mais je trouve la lumiere plutôt dure pour une photo prise tres tôt le matin.
le 26 septembre je decolle pour Montreal, je croise les doigts pour que la meteo soit la meileure.

it seems that you also forgot what kind of photos you were once taking, this is something we were not used to see from you!
excellent b&w with grains, the deep perspective on the street, empowered by the vertical compo is very good. i like the curve and the two people to two pigeons idea.

un N&B bien dense et une compo avec cette ruelle qui serpente qui ne peut que nous entrainer vers une histoire pleine de mystère.

Hi Marc.

What nice and interesting picture of Barcelona, but the main problem of the photo: the dark areas are too dark.
Anyway, this is a very good work.

An unusual post from you... Did I like it? As I love abandoned streets, getting darker through the depths of narrow street, b&w tones; yep I definitely like this one. Especially the grainy view of street with a slight curve to the left...
