Am just back from an amazing 3 day trip to Jog falls > Kamalashile > Udipi > Sringeri > Kudremukh
Here is a pic from Sringeri... The mother and baby elephant pair in front of this Sarada Devi temple, are offered bananas; or cocunut; or in some instances even coins, by the devotees.
I found the baby elephant very gleeful and excited about recieving the gifts and offering its "blessing" to the crowd around it. One can simply feel the joy it feels in getting all the attention from its antics.. :)
