Photographer’s Note
Taken at a produce market in Minab, Iran. The bright-colored mask women wear here is a fashion statement, not a religious requirement.

I really like the tight framing. Good color and focus.
So the bright colored mask is a fashion statement? I take it that the black 'ski mask' under it isn't?

I really like this shot. It it intimate and certainly shows me an insight on an area of the world. I do find it to be a little tight however. I would prefer being able so see something in the background in order go give me a little context for the person. This is terrific work overall.

It's a very impressive shot Linda!
Kind of photo which would make a good one for magazines.
The clearness of colours, sharpness, tight framing, everything seems perfect to me...

On remarque les textures du tissu du masque.
Ce cadrage très serré au 200 mm est très bien fait ; aucun détail de l'image n'est inutile.
Je remarque que le regard de la femme ne trahit aucune tristesse et aucun signe de soumission.

I like this shot as it is. The total absence of background and complete focus on the individual really make the shot happen for me. The colors and sharpness and composition are all excellent. Wonderful shot!

I think this photo is beautiful. The tight crop forces us to concentrate on her eyes, the only feature we will ever see.

Hi Lnda
Great capture. Other pictures in this portfolio are fine too. I already suspected the mask was fashion in a sense. Mask and eyes are very beautiful to use a soft word.
