Trakai Castle Photo

Photographer’s Note

Trakai Island Castle at night. The castle was built in 14th century on an island in lake Galve. It's probably the biggest castle in Lithuania.
Taken at 20:05, about 55 minutes after sunset. Brighter cloud on the right side is illuminated by the Moon behind it.
Camera settings: 41 mm zoom, ISO-400, AV mode, +0.3 EV exposure compensation, mirror lockup and 2 sec self timer to reduce camera shake.
Converted from Raw with color temperature set to 3100K.

Previously I have uploaded another photo taken from exactly the same spot 6 minutes later.

The darker it gets, the better the photo's of this castle seem to get.
I am wondering what caused the curved reflections as they are straight on the later photo's?
Very well exposed blue hour photo.

Hello Linas,
A few years ago I visited Trakai and the castle but only at daytime. Now I know I should have stayed for the evening also.
It's absolutely beautiful illuminated and with vivid colours contrasting with the blue sky and lake.
