Photographer's Note

New Cape Henry Lighthouse marks the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States. This is a working lighthouse maintained by the United States Coast Guard. It remains today an important aid to navigation along the east coast. This lighthouse replaced an older stone lighthouse that is only 357 feet away. The original lighthouse is open to tours and provides a spectacular view of the confluence of the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. An extensive collection of photos representing the Mid Atlantic region can be viewed on my website VirginiaImages.com

NOTE: I intentionally display photographs smaller than the normal size photos shown on Trek Earth. This is to discourage copyright violations.
