Ottawa Light Festival.

On August 8th, Ottawa celebrated the Lumière Festival. The event took place along the Rideau River.

Candlelight and lanterns are part of many religious and social activities as well as of rituals and celebrations.

The Festival try to evoke the joy and delight that nocturnal light provoke in all of us. It is also an occasion for social engagement as the lanterns are created in special workshops using basic materials such as paper and bamboo. Music, theater and other cultural activities were also part of this fantastic night.
