Photographer’s Note

Tongli is a famous old canal town, just a couple of hours norht of Shanghai. Most guidbooks seem to mention it because of its Chinese Sex Culture Museum, which is very interesting, of course, but there is a lot more to this wonderful little town, plus there are a couple of wonderful traditional houses you can stay.

This picture shows the ceiling of a cute little stage building in Tuisi Garden, which means "the garden to retire and comtemplate".
