The Darker Side of Byrce Canyon Photo

Photographer’s Note

Sometimes we think only of the red rock formations at Bryce Canyon National Park. It is easy to forget that it is also a high plateau with beautiful forest and grassy meadows. Unfortunately a forest fire blackened some of this area only days before my latest visit.

I could not help but wish to photograph the remains of these pines, as they still measure to their height and stature, providing a play of strength in line and shadow against the rich blue sky.

The rich colors are fabulous and the image has a sense of endlessness in it. i love the perspective
