Photographer’s Note
Igumenskoje (Hegumen's) lake is one of inner lake of Valaam. Hegumen Damaskin lived there in 1827-1834 in wooden cell. Now only the largest larch (thirty-two metres high and one meter thick) and the foundation remind of the hermitage.
