Photographer’s Note
This is a picture of a child selling clothes in the temple city of Puri in Orissa. This is on the broad main boulevard where the Jagannath Temple is located. The street name translates loosely to "Spacious Vernadah". Motorized traffic is prohibited, only hand drawn rickshaws and pedestrians. So it is teeming with life. He was reluctant to smile and after much effort I could coax out this subtle smile.
This is my first India post. To me this picture represents India in some ways.
