Grand Palais - Paris 2009 Photo

Photographer’s Note

(today: french below, just to alternate some old habit...)

It has been a long time that I didn't upload any new photos here... But I'm back with this shot, taken through the closed front doors of the grand palais in Paris. There's some colourful decoration on the glass wall at the entrance, I don't know why but when I saw that, I went home, grabbed the fisheye and came back to shoot this picture through the window. I had some corrections done afterwards, the most important one was to get rid of the barrel effect by using the "perspective" crop tool in PS. I hope you like it.

Je n’avais plus contribué ici depuis bien longtemps... Je suis de retour avec cette photo, prise à travers les portes fermées du grand palais à Paris. Il y a en ce moment une décoration colorée dans l'espace d'accueil, et quand j'ai vu ça, j'ai fait un aller-retour rapidement chez moi pour revenir avec mon grand-angle, pour faire une photo à travers la vitre. Après, j'ai du y apporter quelques corrections, notamment la correction des déformations coussin introduites par le 10mm. J'espère que le résultat est tout de même convainquant.

Bonsoir Pascal,

Ce résultat est superbe , graphique et colorié à souhait.
Cette "variation en deux teintes" est tout à fait originale.
Elle valait tout à fait ton aller-retour chez toi, comme ce retour sur TE.

Ohh!
This place looks like the wonderland for photogs who love graphics! I can dream of the tons of photography which may be created there. Good that it also urged your instincts to come back to TE after a while.

Hello Pascal,
You present here lots of colors in a wide range, from green to yellow, blue to purple, red to pink. It is also full of graphism with each piece of color is fixed in a geometrical shapes or lines.

Oui, le résultat est convaincant et même merveilleux avec cette variété de couleurs et de formes derrière lesquelles se cachent les traits classiques du palais.

Salut Pascal,

Oui c'est tout à fait convaincant, en plus un travail super pour redresser les déformations dues au grand angle. Bien je vois que tu ne perd pas la main.
Cela me change des paysages de montagne.
je rentre Lundi 7 je vais enfin pouvoir récupéere le net sans être obligé d'aller chez des copains comme aujourd'hui.
