Photographer’s Note
A Hello Kitty stuff doll finds a new home amidst the debris and rubbish on the beach of Anjung Selera, a food court fronting the Likas Bay. In the dark outline in the background, is Tun Mustapha Tower.
Anjung Selera, Tanjung Lipat, Kota Kinabalu:
Saturday, August 29th 2009.
Anjung Selera, is a food stalls beside the highway, fronting the Likas Bay just before the Likas bridge. From this spread facing the bay, you could see the glistening glass monolithic Tun Mustap...ha Tower jutting up over the trees across the river on your right, with the thin trails of headlights along the Tanjung Lipat coastal highway on your left.
In front of you is the Likas Bay and on the dead beach, is probably the new landfill in Kota Kinabalu. For over 200 meters of the beach, from the waterline right up to the beachhead strewn and imbedded in the coarse sands are assortments of black plastic bags of rotting and foul smelling disposables. This potpourri is also laced with flotsams and throwaways regurgitated back to shore by the sea.
It has been months now said one of the stallkeepers and the municipal council hasn't done anything to clean up the beach.

Assalamualaikum Rabani.
I have just acquired G7 and amazed by the compactness and quality of the result. You kept telling me about this wonderful little camera and I am now very convinced. The only thing missing is how to create shallow depth with this camera. Strong message here.
Thanks for sharing and best regards.
