[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken at Buckden in the UK. This is my fathers boat and after noticing the ripples of light on its hull I decided to get a picture. Im still just begining in photography and would really appreciate any words of advice.

Actually, this is pretty perfect as shot. The water look so unreal and the ripples reflection on the boat are so defined. The composition is also good. As advice, I don't see what I can say...

well spotted Tim, I do like the colours with all the blue/greys, the wave reflections are quite sharp and well picked out, advice ummmmm! i think a little touch more sharpness and contrast would help as the fender seems a little soft in focus and a small crop to the bottom would close down the very dark area to the left.
o/a, a well spotted and pleasing image to my eyes.

THIS is a great shot. It's almost surreal; it's engaging and pleasing to the eye.

For me this is excellent. The ripples really make the image happen and are a nice subject. The only word of advice I can give you is to have a bit more room on the upper right hand side...you cropped into the "thingy" (don't know what it is, sorry) a bit too much.

I really like this too. A very original way of seeing this. Fantastic mix of blues, and a really nice play on shapes between the ripples and the fender. Top marks for originality, it works!

Very effective: the reflections of the ripples are superb.

A fantastic picture. Colours are marvellous, as is composition.

"would really appreciate any words of advice"... well, post us some more of this kind! Playing with light, colors and reflections is very well done here, and your close view on these beautiful ripples is very successful in the whole composition.

the only advise i can give you is to keep on shooting and posting great shots like this one.
well composed,nice colours,shrp,very well done!

It's a very nice shot indeed! Do reminds me of "Air-brush" work. The cool colours work well and the framing is just perfect!
Very well done...

This is another great shot. The blues and the whites really contrast to each other very well. This is a very calm and relaxing photo to look at.

Great composition here : there are only two main kinds of colors, blue and white, the subject is easy, but it's enough here to give a high quality result. The reflections of the ripples are really nice, all the settings optimum. Congratulations.

Soft, gentle abstract. Seems only vaguely nautical, but I love the water and the ripples of light, as you call them.

Tim, great shot. Cant say that theres really anything with it that I dont like. It's a bit out of focus or blurry in the top right corner, I think that adds some spooky feeling, hard to put the finger on. The reflections on the hull is killingly eyecatching. Winner!
