Photographer’s Note

Hi there, this photo was taken on a recent trip to Kenmore Hill. The photo was taken while looking back down the walk towards Carn Mairg group of mountains.

The hill looks over the small conservation village of Kenmore at the eastern end of Loch Tay. From the summit there are excellent views down the loch backed by the towering summits of the Ben Lawers range, further to the right is the Carn Mairg group of mountains.

Hello, James.

A very fine photograph indeed with fabulous colours - glorious reds of the foreground heather, the mauve hills and a fantastic sky, no doubt enhanced with skilful use of the polariser. Exposure, and sharpness spot-on too.

I love the way, on a day of patchy cloud like this, there are beautiful and constantly changing patterns of light on the fields and hills - you have captured this well in this one.

What a splendour, what a sight! I like especially this wonderful composition here in this photo which leads the eyes into this multifaceted landscape and which invites the viewer to have a hike here. I would like to step into your picture now ... ;-)

you have captured a beautiful light that creates delicious colours.The heather in the foreground and the hind of a grassy track between is a nice lead in. Very nice indeed.
