Photographer’s Note

Those Scenic Caves are located at the highest point of the Niagara Escarpment, on Blue Mountain.
They were carved millions of years ago by the glacial ice.
Set against the backdrop of sheer limestone cliffs, these caves plunge hundreds of feet into the depths and OPEN OUT into passageways and reveal rock formations from other era.
One cave is so deep that snow and ice remain there all year round defying summer's hottest days.
Excavations from 1975 to 1978 by archeologist Charles Garrand confirm that the French explorer Samuel De Champlain visited the site wich was on the premises of Hurons's village of Eukarenniondi.
