Photographer's Note
I spent a lovely day in Pescocostanzo with my Uncle Silvio and my cousins, without getting arrested, by the way Santo :) As we had been getting temperatures as high as 38 degrees centigrade in Castellammare, the cool air of this mountain village was a relief. This is a view towards the Cathedral from the main piazza.
I recommend the Affogato, a photo of which is included in my Workshop, along with one of my lovely cousins!

Hello Lisa,
Very good point of view and composition on this one. There is a strong deepness effect playing in this way with perspective.
Good choice of B&W as well to increase the strengh of the lines of pavement and of the contrast.

Hi Lisa,
again a really fine picture. The upright format and this chevrons (is it the right word for this marks on the way?) give the image an unbelievable depth. B&W was a pretty good choice. Very well framed. TFS
Have a nice day
Hartmut
PS: your cousin is really lovely ;-)))

Hello Lisa
Very interesting shot.
The point of view is very striking and you've done a great use of the pavement to lead the eyes to the cathedral in the background.
The B&W conversion is a perfect choice to tighten the lines up and you did a great work to get a strong contrast.
Compliments.

Hello Lisa,
A superb perspective along this interesting street. The inverted 'V's of the tiling make a set of wonderful lead lines towards the cathedral. Good use of black and white to accentuate the mood. Lots of detail to take in and admire. A nice range of tones and very good sharpness. A fine photographic image, well done.

Hello Lisa!
That's a very attractive and interesting picture!
The vertical format, black and white and pov were truly excellent choices in this image!
Sharpness and exposure are very good too! The composition was pretty successful with wonderful visual results! An almost empty street, surrounded by eye-catching architecture, with those beautiful graphical patterns on the pavement, everything's perfectly placed in this photograph!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan

Ciao Lisa
You did not miss that nice photo opportunity, the pavement graphism gives your image lots of depth and the V opening is good to widen the view, nice one
Have a nice day JY

Ciao Lisa,
Well done!

You wouldn't be concept artist by any chance Lisa? You sure have a wonderful sense of design, appreciation of texture, light and perspective. This really is an original POV. As for your cousin, she only confirms my view regarding the beauty of Italian women.Ciao. Klaudio.

Hi Lisa,
Wide angle view makes that pavement pattern look like a huge arrow pointing at you, or me at the moment :)
Very strong perspective. Silent looking old town that makes me curious wondering what could be found at the background square.

Hi Lisa,
this is a very good POV and composition, one that put us right in the middle of the place and we are on our own to discover the rest, this lead us into the alley way and beyond. Good cal for the vertical format that give this image depth and perspective. Black and white is also nice, classic and timeless. The sharpness can be a bit stronger but adequate. Thanks. What is great here is you get to spend some times with family.

Hi Lisa.
Took me a while to get the name of the place right - bit of a tongue twister!
Not a bad idea, converting to b/w, and really making the most of the patterns and angles. I think you did the right thing in not attempting to go for symmetry, and picking out the small silhouetted figure. Nice work and good pic of your cousin.

Andrew

Ciao Lisa!
Cari Saluti!

hello Lisa
this is pure graphism and a lesson in fine composition. These narrow treets offer great opportunities and challenges as well. You've produced a timeless image.
