Photographer’s Note

This temple in Edfu is dedicated to the God Horus, son of the Isis Goddess and Osiris God, and is represented by the figure of a hawk.
It belongs to the Ptolemaique time (304-30 a.C.), and it is very well conserved, because most of the parts of it were under the sand during many years.
The temple is characterized by the succesion of small and more and more dark spaces that lead, finally, to the shrine (sagrad), where only can stay there, the priest and the Pharaon. This photo is from the exterior court.
In the majority of the temples, there are egyptian guards, that maintain the order and have care of it. Both guards of the photo, seems that they were a little confused.
I had to have a lot of patience with this shot, it was complicated to take because I didn't wanted tourists to appear into the photo, only the guards, and this is Very diffycult in Edfu, (and most of the Egyptian temples), because there are a lot of tourists everywhere!!!.
