Pool with a view Photo

Photographer’s Note

It has been so hot in Barcelona during the whole week, that you just wished to find fresh areas or a pool or to go to the beach. This is a very old pool in Montjuïc. It was renewed during the Olympic Games in 1992. Diving took place here. But I remember so well when I was a child coming here with my father to watch waterpolo and swimming competitions and when I was adolescent coming here to swim. Not too many people, and most of them visitors from other countries who have discovered this pool and they had a fantastic refreshment before continuing walking around the city.

Hi Roser,The pools are interesting and colourful,however even more so is the sweeping view of Barcelona with the backdrop of hills.Not many by the pool, everyone's gone to the beach perhaps.Thanks Tom.

Fuiste a mi montaña para hacer esta foto.
Digo mi montaña porque vivo en Montjuïc.

En cualquier caso, la foto me gusta por su vista y su paisaje y la inclusión de la piscina.
Por cierto, ¿f/1.1 y 2 segundos? ¿Seguro que es correcto?

Hola Roser,
tens raó, aquestes dues darreres setmanes han estat tremendes pel que fa a la calor. I l'opció de la piscina era molt vàlida.
Aquesta foto és refrescant, i mostra a tothom la fantàstica vista de Barcelona des d'aquest lloc olímpic, del que recordo perfectament la retransmissió per la tele dels salts de palanca i de trampolí, era un espectacle impressionant.
Maca foto, m'agrada molt.

Hi Roser,
This view sure look very refreshing in such hot summer time. the blue of the pool is just so welcoming, I'm surprise there is not more people than this. Good shot with lovely view of Barcelona, and yes I remember well the view of the city watching diving on the Olympic game. This look much clearer than during the Olympic game, it was very hazy.
