Along the coast of Connemara you can find many boats discharged on the shore. Most of them will never set sails again.
We shot this picture near Clifden, Connemara (County Galway)

Old boats always give good opportunities for photo as they inspire a transition with an another time. I like the color of this one, and also the background with the ocean and the hill.

Beautiful view and quiet relaxing atmosphere and also a lovely composition with the boat to catch my attention. This lonely boat is a perfect and very attractive subject, especially during sunsets or sunrises ;) The angle of the shot is great giving the photo a nice sense of direction. Well done!

Hi Hartmut,
The red colour of this abandoned boat is excellent againts this background. Indeed a beautiful landscape, looks like the wind is quite strong. A very good composition, obeying the rule of thirds...

wenn mich nicht alles täuscht, habe ich ein Foto mit dem gleichen Namen. ;-))

Mir gefällt dieses Bild sehr gut - die Komposition ist toll, der Vordergrund sharf und interessant und die Wolken runden das Bild ab. Ich finde, du hättest hier mit der Sättigung sogar noch ein Bisschen höher gehen können.

Hi Hartmut,
I always like this kind of shot, an abandoned ship, paint peeling off, old and rustic, very nostalgic. Very good shot, with good placement of the boat, good details and texture on the foreground vegetation and the boat and it get a little softer as it goes futher back. I like the soft texture of the clouds and mist from the sea. Thank you, have a good day.

Hallo Hartmut,
es ist schon anrührend wie dieses rote Boot hier auf der Seite liegt und Wind (und er ist sehr stark hier, wie man auch an den fliegenden Wolken sehen kann) und Wetter überlassen ist. Sehr schönes Licht, das jede Spur des Verfalls sichtbar macht. Ein wunderbar komponiertes Bild!

This is one of my favourite which I just saw in your website!
I'm glad that I found it here so I can save it in my computer.
I'm fond of boats (I own a sailing boat) and I think that this stranded ones create a very good and nostalgic atmosphere. I like also this deserted and wild coast with a lot of wind!
