Hi Jean,

Very well captured night shot with a nice composition.
It is a glamorous light management.

I could see the use of using a tripod, which I couldn't get used to...

splendide composition nocturne, et une belle mise en valeur de ces maisons à collombage.
En tout cas l'ambiance est très feutrée grâce à cette dominante bleutée, et ces 2 points vert presques surnaturels !

Wonderful image with the starry lights and the blue colors, but I also love the f/g - those flowers on the railing. And yes, of course, the green under the bridge is a perfect detail, lovely reflection!

A marvellous 'blue hour' shot, with good sharpness & diminishing linear perspective. Nice starburst patterns of the amber illumination, that color contrast well, against the deep blue. Excellent reflections. Bon weekend!

Beaucoup d'éléments intéressants à découvrir dans ta photo : les lumières vertes sous le pont, les maisons à colombages, les fleurs, ... La qualité des "étoiles" (lumières) est très surprenante : est-ce uniquement dû au temps de pose ? Félicitations, c'est une image très agréable.

Cette ville est un paradis pour photographe. Tu as choisi un excellent moment pour saisir cet endroit très romantique. Les colombages sur les maisons donnent de très jolis points d'intérêt dans cette photographie. Une jolie heure bleue.

Hello Jean-Yves,
A fine well exposed composition of this lovely Alsation town. The green lights under the bridge seem rather incongruous and make a somewhat eerie contrast with the surroundings. I like how you have mastered the low light to capture the detail in the architecture to perfection. Night photography is not one of my strong points I'm afraid.

Au fait , pourquoi parles-tu de ce canal comme étant " piranha-free" ? T'y as piqué une tête en ces jours caniculaires ?

Intéressante rencontre du 3ème type, deux objets volants non identifiés ont atteri chez les Alsaciens, pour faire une provision de choucroute.

Do you know JY: I'm not so keen on the green lights under the bridges. Please have a word with the town planners. I'm sure when they know Kath doesn't like it they will change the colour! ;D
That's not your fault (unless you're the town planner there!) and the image is fantastic with excellent exposure, gorgeous reflections and well considered composition. I like the way our eye follows the fence and then turns the corner into the image towards the c**p green lights.

nice perspective and reflection. The blue hour is what makes this attractive, something you could not get in a moment later. The illuminated bridge is a nice focal point in the frame. Well done!

C'est de l'artillerie lourde ton nouveau Canon o) ...et encore plus compétitif pour la blue hour. Superbe image, bien sûr! Je suis quand même surpris de voir cet endroit quasi désert à cette époque de l'année et à cette heure peu tardive!

En regardant cette photo, ça me donne envie d'aller visiter cette région! elles sont belles ces maisons qui bordent le canal! et puis bon, y'a pas de piranhas, mais des E.T ;) Sympas les lumières en forme d'étoile!

A beautiful blue hour photo where the green lights make a nice difference.
Good compo with the side of the houses on the left which puts a nice natural cadre on the photo. Same goes for the closed back side and bridge in front.

I'm so relieved to hear there are no piranhas here! Was it a lot of trouble to get rid of them?

I wish your exif info had included the shutter speed, but no matter. It's a lovely scene that caught my eye immediately in thumbnail, and only partly because of the green touch. Great use of diagonals, especially including the bannister on the far right, with its bit of reflection. Good job.
