Central Park abstract Photo

Photographer’s Note

There is a lovely spot in Central Park called Conservatory Water, aka the Model Boat Pond. It is an ornamental pond, fashioned after the model boat ponds of Paris, where you can rent battery-powered model boats or bring your own.

When I leaned over the edge of the pond I caught a glimpse of the buildings on Fifth Avenue. It is on the high ledge of one of the buildings in my photo where two very famous park visitors reside: Pale Male and Lola, a pair of red-tailed hawks. People come to this spot with binoculars to see the hawks, and sometimes their chicks. I was able to hear them calling out, but didn't actually see them while I was there.

There are so many gems to discover in Central Park, and, after many visits, I still find something new every time.

Salut.On dirait un tableau , abstrait , bien sur.J'aime beaucoup le reflet de ce nuage.Il manque un peu de couleurs , mais ce n'est pas garve.Bravo.

magnifique effet de reflection,j'adore le tourbillon dans l'eau et le nuage qui donne du relief,on dirait que la photo est partagée en 2, couleur bien rendue, bonne idée de mise en valeur spéciale de la prise de ces buldings

This photo is great, and really very artistic. You made use of the reflections in a wonderful way.
Even in the clouds you can see the water ripples cristal clear.

Hola Brenda,
yo intenté unas tomas parecidas a la tuya en este mismo lugar, porque los reflejos de los edificios sobre el agua tienen un fuerte efecto gráfico.
Al rotar el cuadro esos reflejos se convierten en una imagen surrealista y abstracta, en una composición muy inteligente.
Me gusta su sencillez y su potencia visual.

Hello Brenda,
Nice reflection, the three colors (green, white and blue) give to this shot a pleasant composition. This beautiful cloud appears to be the most important element, it break the horizontal repetition.
