Photographer’s Note
Scalloway, Shetland holds a special place in Norways heart. It is the place where the Shetland Bus was based, and therefore the town that helped smuggle people and equipment in to Norway during WW2, and helped smuggle people out of Norway on the return trips.
This boat was laying on the beach there, and I just had to shoot a photo of it, this is an HDR composed of 3 photos... all shot with the camera hand held... I do hope you'll like it.

Hei hei,
I really like the composition of your picture. Just a little suggestion: since there are already very little colours in the picture, I think a b/W would underline the atmosphere of your photo. A red-filter would make the clouds look even more dramatic and can be easily done with photoshop.

This is a singular photograph, not only for the mood it creates, the happy composition you've achieved, and the color scheme that supports the mood, but also for a certain evocativeness that it provokes. That boat seems to mean something important. You've done an exceptional job here.
The colors are also particular in that, while normally such a limited palette of hues would be sure to create monotony, here the opposite happens; I get rather a feeling of something adventurous needing to be done, of some pleasant yet challenging occasion in the offing...well done! Lynn
