Photographer’s Note

Here's my first upload of an important event that takes place in Redondo, every two years: the Flowery Streets. For around a week the old white streets of Redondo get really colourful and crowded with visitors (I was lucky here!). The streets are decorated with colourful paper flowers, made by the inhabitants, each one of them according to a specific theme. They are all different and really worth a visit. Here we have one of the main squares and part of the castle.

Love the POV you have chosen, resulting in explosion of colour. Have you thought about composing it so that the "tree" is off centre?

Very beautiful how the lines with flowers all start at one point and then spread all over the picture.
A nice contrast with the white building and tower and with the blue sky.

Hello Ana,

This is an interesting point of view, adding a kind of strange effect to the street decorations!
A colourful scene from the festival and the fine light really makes the colour explode...

Afinal quais são as festas de flores mais famosas, Redondo ou Campo Maior? Ou tenho andado a fazer confusão ou pensava que era só em Campo Maior. (Nunca vi pessoalmente nenhuma destas festas.)
A foto ficou com uma mistura de cores fantástica.

This one caught my attention already from the thumbnails! Yes the paper garlands with their vivid colors are an eye-catcher and stand out perfectly against the church, the sky....

Olá Ana,
estos adornos de vivos colores en la calle son muy efectivos para crear un buen grafismo en la foto, tu buen punto de vista los superpone a la arquitectura blanca de la iglesia en una composición muy bien organizada.
Me gusta la luminosidad y el colorido de la foto, además la gente añade mucha vida y dinamismo a la imagen.

bela vista das bandeirolas coloridas, gosto da luz e dos personagens na cena. não sei se seria possível, mas se a parte de cima da torre aparecesse naquela abertura ,entre as bandeirolas, a compo seria ainda melhor do que já é.

Your chose a great POV for this shot with the decorations leading the eye into the scene. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness. The decorations add nice contrast for the white building and blue sky.
