Photographer’s Note
Most of the Potomac River crossings near Washington, DC are modern multi-lane bridges, but there is still an old fashion ferry: White's Ferry. It takes about 15 cars at a time and the trip takes about 5 minutes. Not very fast or efficient, but a very pleasant alternative.
