Photographer’s Note
I happened to be in Madison a couple of Sundays ago, just before the annual running of the Capitol Mile, a romp around the state capitol grounds in the city's downtown. I'd bought my first polarizing filter a day or two earlier, and this was my first foray with it. I was struck by the runner trudging to the starting line -- and by those clouds. I left the bike tire in at the edge of the frame because it's part of what evokes Madison -- bikes seem to be almost a trademark in the city. It was a few minutes after a shower, but already the skies were lightening enough to go for the low ISO, and I felt the wider-angle lens would really help show the whole scene. It was, for me at least, an interesting urban landscape.

Hi Jim,
Wounderful shot of your state capital with this beautiful blue sky with such big wispy clouds.
Is it ture your state license plates say "Eat Cheese or Die?"
Just kidding NY is second to Wis. on dairy products, Calif in wine and Wash. in apples.
