Photographer’s Note

Spent 3 nights on the Lizard Island. Although it's rather expensive (the cost of almost a Nikon D3 for the 3 nights stay), the experience was simply wonderful. I have seen shots on the internet with shadows of boats inked on the bottom of the ocean, it's the first time in my life to see it in action and capture on my own pictures. What a vacation to remember, I am sure I will be back there again. I love Australia!

Hello Jonathan,

Your title certainly fits the shot!
The twinkling clarity of the water is a strong feature in your shot.
I particulalry like the composition with great emphasis on the sea which, incidentally, makes a tremendous depth to the shot.
Good pov, sharing the aspect with the canoeist. Her redpaddle blades add colour to the focal area.

Wonderful clear photograph. It felt like if I took a step closer I would get my feet wet :)
Fabulous colours with a splash of red. Great use of verticle.

First of all, welcome on TE.
Good use of the ultra wide angle but your shot should have been better if the boat was just in the bottom right angle, to drive the eye on the island. Fabulous colours of the South seas.
