Photographer’s Note

A few kilometres south of Aus Bertrands you can find this secluded beach. You can do a 20 min hike to a cave that was formed by the sea.

This tree seemed to have grown out of the stone.

The north coast of Guadeloupe has a fascinating landscape. I was about to compare it Ireland (Cliffs of Moher) or to South Africa (Cape Region) but in the end is still different.

It is not really something you expect if you think about the Carribean Islands. I wonder if Guadeloupe is the only of the Carribean Islands that offers such a wide range of different landscapes. Beaches, cliffs, jungle, and even desert-like regions - you name it, Guadeloupe has it.
