Biking along Canal du la Robine Photo

Photographer’s Note

The best days of the year is spent in South of France. From our "base camp" in the small village Collioure we explore the region of Languedoc-Rousillon. As here biking along the Canal du la Robine from Port-la-Nouvelle to Narbonne some 40km t/r a warm day of August. In the photo passing the locks of Mandirac.

(The boats name "Tramontane" refers to the wind blowing from the Pyreenes to the Mediterranean.
In Provence there is another name for the mountain wind called "The Mistral"..)

Vous voila de nouveau dans le sud, là ou il fait très chaud en ce moment, je descend début septembre, serez vous encore là?
belle image en gros plan du bâteau, un endroit idéal pour les balades a vélo le long du canal, sympat le WS

Hello Jack,

Une vue au grand angle qui montre le passage de ce bateau à l'intérieur de l'écluse. Le point de vue surélevé nous montre également le canal qui s'éloigne au loin !

I wen very often there and I took a barge from Port la Nouvelle to Narbonne but the weather was not very good.
Interesting perspective from your position.
Sometimes in Marseille the Tramontane blows in the same time with the Mistral and that is terrible.
