Walking around the picturesque streets of Hora in Kythira, you can see 3 different styles of Architecture: Venetian, Cretan and Cycladian. This particular spot with the "Fossa" (arch) reminds mostly the cycladian architecture.

une superbe photo avec s porte bleue qui serait agréable d'ouvrir pour y voir le petit nid intérieur, car l'extérieur avec ces potiches de fleurs sont magnifiques et ornent bien le pan du mur blanc, et très bien vu cette arche avec ce passage sous ces maisons et une bonne luminosité; certes un voyeur sur ta route...

this is such a pleasant scene.I like that you have captured the man at the window.This is the kind of picture that I would like to take.It has some the elements that make a holiday is Greece special. The blue, the white, the terracotta and the architecture.I have called my husband over to take a look. He said "Oh, don't, don't...." meaning that we would so much like to have visited this year but couldn't and we long for a return visit.My husband also said that he would love to have this picture on our living room wall.

It's a very pleasant composition. This mix of different architectures is lovely.
The composition is striking, with each element learnedly arranged.
The alley leads the eyes to the warm light and the two yellow windows on the left part are a perfect echo.
The man adds life to the scene. You've shot at the right moment, well done.

Θυμήθικα το άσμα "Δυό πόρτες έχει η ζωή, άνοιξα μιά και μπήκα" εγώ προσθέτω... και γλάστρες με άνθη, και παράθυρα,,αλλά και δυό κουρτινάκια... αριστούργημα!

Muy buen punto de vista captando un bello rincón de Kythira, los colores son mis preferidos, hay una gran nitidez en tu excelente foto y el arco crea una gran perspectiva. Muy buena iluminacion y marco, la presencia del hombre en la ventana va muy bien con el titulo de tu foto.
Estuve de viaje en España y estoy atrasado en mis criticas.

Me encanta uno de los muchos detalles que tiene la foto: el hombre de la ventana.

Y dicho que la foto me gusta mucho, me han preguntado para ir a Grecia en agosto (del 18 al 20 ó 21, aproximadamente). Iría con unos amigos que quieren ir a Santorini... ¿alguna recomendación de isla más cercana?

Confío en tu experiencia, je, je, je, para poder seguir tus consejos (les quiero cambiar el destino porque ya he estado en Santorini y, en verdad, como que no iría solo y no dependo tanto de si veré o no veré a alguien, pues tengo muchas papeletas de acabar por ahí).

Αν κρίνει κανείς από αυτή την γωνιά την ιδιαίτερα περιποιημένη μπορεί να βγάλει τα συμπεράσματά του για τα Κύθηρα και τους κατοίκους του. Τα πιθάρια (πιθανόν Κρητικής κατασκευής) με τα λουλούδια μπροστά σε αυτή την πόρτα της οποίας η κορνίζα δείχνει αρχαία καταγωγή, στολίζουν υπέροχα το σοκάκι.
Η λήψη έγινε από το καταλληλότερο σημείο και δημιούργησε ένα πολύ καλό κάδρο.

Hi Hercules, in this beautiful corner the ambience is more "Mediterranean" rather than being Greek, except for the ancient-like door frame. By the title "observer", I guess you make a reference to the man who is looking from the tiny window. But for sure, you are really a good observer taking this kind of amazing photos Well done !

Magnifique photo et très jolie façade. J'aime beaucoup la porte bleue et les vases à fleurs qui ornent le décor. Le bel éclairage met bien en valeur cette scène et l'harmonie des couleurs est superbe. La présence du personnage à la fenêtre ajoute de l'intérêt à la photo.

This corner of Kythira would have been already lovely and perfect even without the man at the window... it really is an epitome of the Greek aesthetics and street decor. By coincidence I've shot (but never posted) a similar one in Naxos.

beautiful this little and typical corner from your country. This is one of the things I like for when I'm travelling on little towns, this kind of charming corners full of little details, colors, and where the architecture of the place is so well represented.
The man at the window watching the 'activity' at the street is a nice inclusion here as it bring a point of humanity to it.
Also the tiny corridor besides giving depth to the photo gives us also a sense of what is afterwards this tiny corner.

Ποτέ δεν θα βαρεθώ αυτά τα πανέμορφα Ελληνικά σοκάκια με την απλή και πανέμορφη Αρχιτεκτονική τους.
Πολύ καλή η παρουσία του ανθρώπινου στοιχείου μέσα στην σύνθεση σου.
Εξαιρετικό, όπως πάντα εξάλλου, το καντράρισμα σου, "πάντρεψες" με τον καλύτερο τρόπο όλες τις διαφορετικές φόρμες και στοιχεία, δίνοντας και πάλι ένα εξαιρετικό αποτέλεσμα.
