Photographer’s Note
Le Palais Lumière d'Evian-les-Bains.
Ce palais abrite aujourd'hui un musée mais accueillait jadis les thermes d'Evian. Il porte le nom des célèbres Frères Lumières.
La résidence des Frères Lumière (la "Villa Lumière"), à quelques pas de là, fut transformée en Hôtel de Ville.
La façade est couverte de carreaux de faïence, ce qui explique qu'elle prenne autant la lumière.

Lumière Palace in Evian-les-Bains.
The palace used to host the ancient therms of Evian. It takes its name from the famous Lumières brothers.
The Lumière house (the so called "Villa Lumière"), a few steps away, was turned into the city hall.
The façade is covered with glazed earthenware which explains why it takes the light so brightly.
