A city that is long way from winding alleys , souks and kebab shops. Expensive city too, long gone are days of cheap Turkey.

a cool combination in a way although they have nothing in common apart from being modern structures in istanbul... the first one, isbank tower 1 is the tallest building in turkey and in the balkan peninsula (will be the the third very soon, two taller buildings are being built very near)... the sky is more prominent in this shot, i am not sure of the proportions but i like the colurs in the sky and that blue touch... the second one is the ceiling of the second international airport of istanbul, sabiha gokcen... i like this one better, good pov and tilt, cool graphics... and as i said, cool combo...

when you are a native photographer of a certain city, it is always fun to see how foreign photographers react to that city's contents in an original way, sometimes being quite apart from what the natives are generally used to see. and it is indeed nice (and also interesting) to see that a foreigner eye is more keen on presenting istanbul's modern architecture than its palaces, mosques, bridges, black veiled, black bearded people, and other authentic elements. your very short but strongly summerizing words "...long way from winding alleys, souks and kebab shops" can therefore be indicated as an allegory of your overall observations. but, "expensive city"??? not enough: it can bite your pocket...

i like the idea of grayish/brownish fragments and the collage thereof. you cannot easily find something like that in our jungle of turkish gallery on TE (actually the whole TE gallery lacks such "originalities")

What great and smart work. You've made two very good photos and you've mixed both in one single picture.
The light, especially in the left one, is really great.
