This photo has been taken on the beach Benijo near Almaciga - little village situated not far away from Taganana. The beach is not a first choice for sunbathing and swimming, because of the dark volcanic sand and the sharp, pointed rocks in the ocean, but the scenery is magnificent in its severity. It was nearly time to go home after beautiful sunset on the beach when unexpectedly last sun rays tore through the dark clouds. The rich red of the light made fantastic contrast in the black and grey scenery. I was running out of time and needed to set up the tripod quickly. The result of the rugged mountains, lonely rocks in the water and remote little village on the slope lit by two single sunbeams might even look a bit surrealistic for those who have not witnessed the moment.
