Photographer’s Note
There were several blocks of these perfectly good houses all boarded up with steel in the windows and doors. They were located on the Protestant side of West Belfast right near the divide. I was informed later on that the previous occupants had been "ordered out" and had relocated to other parts of the UK, and that the houses would be resettled after a time. These streets were all uniform in architecture and deserted.

Sad reality. I suggest they relocate the whole Belfast community into two separate cities, far enough apart to be "harmless" and make Belfast a museum to show what politics and religion are able to "achieve"...
It is a grim picture Sharon, and well understandable under the circumstances. If it doesn't serve the picture in one way or another, avoid tilting the picture, it gives the viewer a sense of imbalance.
Wouldn't you want to show us the colourful wallpaintings caused by the same separation ?
