Photographer’s Note

There were several blocks of these perfectly good houses all boarded up with steel in the windows and doors. They were located on the Protestant side of West Belfast right near the divide. I was informed later on that the previous occupants had been "ordered out" and had relocated to other parts of the UK, and that the houses would be resettled after a time. These streets were all uniform in architecture and deserted.
