Photographer’s Note
This is the geological feature known as the Old Man of Storr. A fantastic place to visit if your reasonable fit but be careful because from this POV every stone you put your foot on tends to move or crumble away.
The Storr is just north of Portree on the Island of Skye. Its an impressive feature which is part of the Trotternish range. The first 800 ft of the climb thru the woodland hides any view of the awesome spectacle that greets the climber but when you emerge the severity of the second part of the climb becomes apparent.
