Photographer’s Note
By Wikipedia:
"Mammatus (also known as mammatocumulus, meaning "bumpy clouds") is a meteorological term applied to a cellular pattern of pouches hanging underneath the base of a cloud. The name "mammatus" is derived from the Latin mamma (udder), due to the clouds' characteristic shape."

Hi Nikos,
Like the 'surreal' cloud formation, never seen such colours over the New York sky as this!

Nice catch. Very effective perspective and coloring. Good note, but I would like to know what kind of weather produces those clouds or what incoming weather they signify. Guess I have to look it up myself.

Hello !
What a strange and captivating vision ! There is a beautifull contrast between the impressive mamma pink clouds and the impressive high tours, between nature and civilisation... (hum excuse for my bad english !! )
Best regards !
