Photographer’s Note
The ancient Roman Theatre of Cartagena, on the northern side of La Concepcion hill. The theatre built in the first century bc had seating for 6000 people. In the 16th century the theatre had been lost to fire and the town of Cartagena grew over the remains. Until 1987 when it was rediscovered and excavations started.
