Photographer’s Note
As it's Sunday today I'm making my occasional contribution to the Papagolfade tradition. With the prospect of Monday morning and the week ahead not so far off, simplicity is in order...
This is the charming 13th century church of Santa Maria in the small town of Marvao, which stands close to the castle. It is now the municipal museum.

Hello Susanna,
I like this simple white architecture in contrast with the blue sky and the green plants. Colours are really pleasant and the POV is perfect to show us this church in the best possible way.

Elle est superbe de simplicité cette Papagolfade. J'avoue que c'est comme ça que je les préfère.
Sa blancheur met en valeur les quelques éléments décoratifs et tu as su éviter la surexposition.
Les traces blanches viennent idéalement agrémenter le ciel.
Une bien belle composition!

une papagolfade excellente avec une église qui flashe par son beau blanc au milieu d'un ciel bleu ces nuages semblent sortir du clocher,beau cadrage

This is a nice shot of this old church. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The deep blue sky provides excellent contrast for the white building. The bushes frame the church nicely while the upward angle of the shot gives the building a dominating appearance.

Hello Susanna,
Une papagolfade bien éclairé et dont le ciel est très bien polarisé. Il y a peut-être une légère sous-exposition dans cette image mais cela permet de faire ressortir les détails de la façade.

A low POV like you have here always works well to portray a church and emphasise its importance in the community. A well exposed image without a hint of oe on all that white. On an amusing note it seems someone is in the belfry sending smoke signals! ;D
