Photographer’s Note
Sundown in Sandakphu has the blackmagic power of taking one's breath away and sweeping one clean off his/her feet. Less known than its sunrise counterpart, the sunset holds a promise of painting a riot of colours through your soul. It'll lull you to a time where the world is ancient and pagan, colourful and heavy, cold yet warm and melancholy yet serene.
In this frame the onlooker is completely bewitched by the magic of the mighty mountains. She leans from the balcony .. her mind running wild like a lark, restless yet solaced, stretching and yearning to touch the untouchable mountains. The spectator is completely engrossed drinking nature to the lees, absorbing each and every micromoment through her skin and dissolving it in her blood. She stood there for quite some time ... unaware, oblivious and addicted ... completely incapacitated to note anything else under the sun !

Good morning, Samrat,
This composition conveys a great deal in its simplicity. The silouhette is softly but dramatically lit; the mist over the mountains suggests, but does not explicitly show, a great distance below the lone viewer, giving the impression that she is somehow unmoored from the earth; the gradation of warm tones from near black in the lower left to nearly white on the upper right, and again of the wide space into which she is gazing, from orange to cold blue -- all these elements give a sense of dramatic solitude and peace.
Nicely done. I envy her :).
Regards,
Lisa

Beautiful photo Samrat. It's very moody - calming. I'd like to be in a place like that, looking out over a peaceful landscape.
