Photographer’s Note

Ohio Gozai-masu,

I got always fascinated by the stories of Mount Fuji and the comic figures of Mt. Fuji sketched in the Manga comics. During my stay in Tokyo in last years, I got the opportunity to visit Mount Fuji (Fuji-san) during 'Golden Week' time when all Japanese people enjoy a week-long holiday.

Short information on Mt. Fuji: Mt.Fuji is 3776m high and is the highest mountain in Japan. Because of its beautiful conic shape and magnificience, this mountain attracts hunder of thousands of torists every year. I would say, Mount Fuji is the pride of Japanese people. In addition to its glory, Mt. Fuji does have five lakes around Mt. Fuji, which add another feathers to its crown.

I have taken this shot from the Asagiri-Kougen (West side of Fuji). "Yama-sakura" (a Japanese word for mountain's cherry blossom) was also seen growing during that time. I used tele-lens in order to capture a detailed view of the top of Mt. Fuji, which I feel has a nice shape.

Sayonara,
