Photographer’s Note

They are not dancers or singers.

In silence, this large group was doing spiritual exercises, apparently in great meditation, as a soft voice coming from the speakers constantly said: "Peace... Compassion... Tolerance..."

This discipline is called "Falun Gong", founded in China quite recently, in 1992, as a variation of traditional "qigong" practices.

For some reason the activity is illegal and subject to persecution in China.

Not only your pictures but also the note is very interesting. Certainly I have read about Falun Gong a lot, but I rarely have seen any pictures of this meditation form. The contrast of the female pink against the yellow gold of the male is impressive. Excellent light management as well. Your sharpness is great, contrast is nice and DOF is perfect. Well done.

This one caught my eye & held it from your recent gallery. Striking warm cold colour contrasts between the hot pink & yellow colours, & the blue sky. Good repetition of the dancers & superb sharpness. Tfs!

Of course I had seen this image before. I was puzzled because it reminded me smething and tonight ony I had the "epiphany" : the "Dawn Valley" ceremonies in Brasilia.
here a sampe f what I mean. Interesting everyone put apart different (personal) clothes to wear kind of uniforms.
