Photographer’s Note
My day off, and I spent the day travelling around on the motorbike taking pictures. It was cloudy and dreary so few of them turned out. I hope you'll like this though.

Hi Karen,
Just to be out in the countryside must have been reward enough, although it is always disappointing when the weather isn't up to what you'd like.
I think it has been quite awhile since these farm buildings were used, it looks like the ridge line has completely collapsed on the main building in your shot.
A very nice look at this nostalgic scene, in its better days this looks like it was a thriving little farm.
The grass looks so green and lush, I'll bet the local cows would have loved to get into it for lunch.
Have a nice Sunday.
Regards
Peter

Hello Karen,
It's a bit sad to see a fine building like this collapse, but that's the inevitable result of old age and years of neglect. We will all end up like this in one way or another. Actually, that roof looks like it could have been a creation of some very modern architect.
As usual I like those uneven wooden beams and the tiles.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Karen,
I like the tonal contrasts of the lush green grass against the warmer tones of the wood. The colours are very pleasing and not over-saturated and the textures well rendered. It's surprising how photographs like this turn better in dull weather than on sunny days. Very adventurous on your motorbike ;-)

Bonjour Karen,
Les cabanes ou maisons en rondins, j'ai toujours aimé parce que je trouve que le bois s'intègre parfaitement à la nature et que c'est un matériau vivant et dont les couleurs et textures varient à l'infini. Aussi ta photo, j'aime !

It looks quite abandoned and destroyed. The pic itself is quite good considering the weather was not on your side. The colours and light are good and the POV is nice. Well done.

Hi Karen,
I always like this rugged rural architecture - the old is attractive in unusual ways. Nice capture here - oool idea to use your motorbike to get around. TFS. Gerald

Hello Karen
The attractive grass makes for a good starting point leading the eye to these old/wooden farms which got a certain charm...I think, I might have come a bit closer to the farm, to be able to have also the down part, but that's not a big deal ;)
Have a nice day

Hi Karen,
You can frequently get better images in cloudy weather, when stark differences in sunny and shady areas are minimized. I like the image of the farm house with the collapsed roof, making a saddle shape. Water penetrating the roof eventually takes its toll, when a roof is not properly sealed. I like the rustic scene, and the idea of your 'tooling around on a motorbike,' searching for bucolic scenes to photograph.
Warm regards,
Bulent

This quaint and beutiful and has been very well captured with such clarity and crispness of the hues and the tones. The view is great and so is the way you have composed it Karen

Hello Karen,
the setting with great presence of this magnificent greenery is seen well, creates a nice contrast with the wood buildings of the farm and the grass.
The soft tones and the tenuous light give a very relaxing environment to this place, and form an agreeable composition.
All the best.

Hello Karen,
We still have examples of this kind of building technique around my place too, mostly dating back to 1800s..!
A picturesque scene with the houses in decay, in the middle of a field of fresh grass...
A fine composition with good depth, interesting colour palette in grey and shades of green!
Greetings,
Pablo -
