Photographer’s Note

In the procession of "Pimai-Lao", the main participants are these "Punya", "Nyanya" and "Dragon" besides miss Louangphabang and other beautiful ladies. "Punya" is believed to be so-called "Adam" and "Nyanya" to be "Eve" there, both of two are sacred but popular Gods in Louangphabang. Even though Laos is the Buddhism country, but the that is the evidence that the influence of Animism still strongly remains there.

Hello Takero,

The three effigies "Punya" - "Nyanya" and "Dragon" are absolutely the real eye catchers.
Composition and presentation are superb. I like your photo, is organized well in a good framing, and have a great quality of image and of colors.

the capture is unusual, too, but very interesting and very colourful, full of sunshine and rich colours - and these curious creatures! :) It would be nice to see this with my own eyes.

Dear Takero-san
I've seen these 'masks' inside some Wat. These are, IMO quite similar to the Barong masks of Bali, both distinctly having animistic background. Like the picture a lot where you've managed to incorporate the beautiful Wat in the BG as well.
