Puicheric, the needle's lock (écluse de l'Aiguille) on the Canal du Midi.
The village is located between Carcassonne and Narbonne, on the heart of the Minervois vigneyard.

Crossing locks can be long, so, to the amateur sailors can wait, the lock keeper of Puicheric exhibits his funny sculptures on the place.
Joël Barthes, lock keeper since 1988 has began the sculpture in 1992 with recycling materials and gave birth to strange and funny characters or animals.

For instance, a lot of amateur sailors must have been surprised by a crocodile presence on the bank while approaching the lock !
